Hello, I'm Monica
Registered Nurse.

Gold Coast local.

Genuinely passionate about skin.
My Story
I didn’t come to aesthetics through a beauty background - I came through nursing. After years working in clinical settings, including my ongoing role at Gold Coast Private Hospital, I found myself drawn to a space where I could combine my medical training with something more personal: helping people feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.
That was seven years ago. Since then, I’ve built a practice that reflects everything I believe good healthcare should be - unhurried, individualised, honest, and grounded in genuine clinical knowledge.
I work across two Gold Coast locations: Gold Coast Face and Body Place in Southport, and Maxwells Skin and Body Clinic in Main Beach. Both clinics are small and personal by design. You’ll always see me - not a rotating roster of practitioners - and that consistency is something my clients tell me they value deeply.
Philosophy and Approach
Positive ageing. Not anti-ageing.
I don’t believe in chasing youth. I believe in supporting your skin as it changes - understanding what’s happening beneath the surface, and working with your natural features rather than against them.
My approach is always individualised. Before any treatment is considered, we have a proper conversation. I want to understand your skin history, your lifestyle, your concerns, and what you’re realistically hoping for. From there, we build a plan together - one that fits your life, not just a treatment menu.
I’m particularly passionate about bio-regenerative approaches to skin health: treatments that work with the skin’s own processes to support structure, hydration, and resilience over time.

Medical Governance Statement
All cosmetic medical treatments at GCNurseMon are carried out under appropriate medical governance and in compliance with Australian regulatory requirements. All registered nurses work in collaboration with qualified medical practitioners or nurse practitioners who provide prescribing, oversight, and clinical support.
Every client receives an individualised consultation and prescription from an authorised prescriber prior to treatment. Medications are administered in accordance with relevant state and national regulations, ensuring the highest standard of patient safety and ethical care.
A Note on Compliance
You may notice that I don’t advertise specific product names, post before-and-after photos, or make promises about results. This isn’t an oversight - it’s intentional. As a registered nurse practising in Queensland, I operate under strict advertising guidelines set by AHPRA, the TGA, and Queensland Health. These rules exist to protect
patients, and I support them wholeheartedly.
What this means for you is simple: everything I share - on this website, on social media, and in person - is honest, educational, and free from hype. I’d rather earn your trust through transparency than through marketing.
If you have questions about a specific treatment or product, the best place to have that conversation is in a consultation - where I can speak to your individual circumstances properly and privately.
