Treatment Overviews
Every treatment at GCNurseMon begins with a conversation. Before anything else, I want to understand your skin, your health history, and what you’re hoping for - so that any plan we put together is genuinely right for you.
The information on this page is educational. It’s designed to give you a general understanding of the treatment categories I offer, so you can come to your consultation feeling informed.
Specific suitability, options, and planning are always discussed in person.
Treatments for Ageing Concerns
As the skin matures, changes in muscle activity and movement can affect the way it looks and feels over time. There are treatments available that address these changes by working with the underlying structures of the face in a targeted, individualised way.
At GCNurseMon, all treatments for ageing concerns are carried out under appropriate medical governance and in full compliance with Australian regulatory requirements.
Treatment areas, approach, and suitability are always assessed and discussed during your consultation - never before.
Treatments for Volume Loss
Changes in facial volume are a natural part of the ageing process. There are treatments available that can help support skin structure and contour in areas where volume loss has occurred, using substances that work with the body’s own tissues.
At GCNurseMon, all treatments for volume loss are carried out under appropriate medical governance and in compliance with Australian regulatory requirements.
Individual suitability, approach, and options are always discussed during your consultation. No treatment is recommended unless it is clinically appropriate for you.
Skin Needling / Collagen Induction Therapy
Skin needling - also known as collagen induction therapy - uses a device with fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-channels in the surface of the skin. This process activates the skin’s natural repair response, which includes the production of collagen and elastin.
Skin needling can be used on the face, neck, and body. It is generally well-tolerated, though individual experiences vary. Some temporary redness or sensitivity following treatment is common and typically resolves within a short period.
A series of treatments is usually recommended, and this will be discussed during your consultation based on your individual skin and goals. Skin needling is a non-prescription treatment.
Bio-Regenerative Treatments
Bio-regenerative treatments represent a growing area of aesthetic medicine focused on supporting the skin’s own biological processes - rather than simply adding volume or relaxing muscle activity.
These treatments work by introducing substances into the skin that interact with the body’s natural repair and regeneration pathways. The aim is to support skin quality, structure, hydration, and resilience from within, over time.
There are several categories of bio-regenerative treatments available, including bio-regenerators and bio-stimulators. Each works differently and is suited to different skin concerns and goals.
Specific products and treatment options are discussed during
consultation, in accordance with Australian advertising regulations.
Polynucleotide Treatments
Bio-regenerative treatment based on polynucleotide (PN) technology.
Polynucleotides are naturally occurring molecules that play a role in cellular repair and regeneration. When introduced into the skin, they support the skin’s own repair processes and can contribute to improvements in hydration, elasticity, and overall skin quality over time.
Polynucleotide treatments is administered via small injections and is suitable for use on the face, neck, and décolletage. It is generally considered a gentle treatment with minimal downtime, though individual responses vary and are always discussed in advance.
