Frequently Asked Questions
Yes - and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Every new client at GCNurseMon receives a complimentary initial consultation before any treatment is considered.
This gives us the opportunity to talk through your skin, your health history, your goals, and whether
treatment is appropriate for you. There is no obligation to proceed.
Initial consultations typically last between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on your needs
and how many questions you have.
I never rush a consultation - I’d rather take the time to get it right.
You can book online here, or text Monica directly on 0422 068 075.
Appointments can generally be booked up to the day before.
For Maxwells in Main Beach, you can also call (07) 5591 1744.
I work part-time across two locations as a sole practitioner, which means whoever you book in with for your first appointment is who you'll see every time after that.

Yes. All cosmetic medical treatments at GCNurseMon are carried out under appropriate medical governance and in compliance with Australian regulatory requirements.
I work in collaboration with qualified medical practitioners who provide prescribing, oversight, and clinical support.
Every client receives an individualised prescription from an authorised prescriber prior to any prescription treatment.
That’s exactly what the consultation is for. Suitability is always assessed on an individual basis, taking into account your medical history, current medications, skin type, lifestyle, and personal goals.
I will never recommend a treatment I don’t believe is genuinely appropriate for you.
Within 10 minutes of your appointment, you’ll receive a personalised aftercare guide by email. If you have any concerns in the two weeks following your appointment, please reach out.
Complimentary review appointments are available within this period if needed.
As a registered nurse practising in Queensland, I operate under strict advertising guidelines set by AHPRA, the TGA, and Queensland Health.
These regulations prohibit the advertising of prescription-only products to the public, as well as before-and-after imagery and outcome-based claims.
I follow these guidelines because they exist to protect patients. If you’d like to discuss specific products or treatments, I’m happy to do that in a consultation.
Bio-regenerative treatments are focused on supporting the skin’s own biological repair and regeneration processes.
Rather than primarily working on volume or muscle movement, they interact with the skin’s natural pathways to support quality, hydration, structure, and resilience over time.
It’s an area I’m particularly passionate about. We can discuss whether bio-regenerative options might be appropriate for you during a consultation.
Skin needling - also known as collagen induction therapy - uses a device with fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, activating the skin’s natural collagen and elastin production.
It can be used on the face, neck, and body, and is generally well-tolerated. Suitability varies from person to person and will be discussed thoroughly during your consultation.
